BEHAVIOUR
We aim to support our pupils in learning
to take control of their own behaviour. To help them in this the
school has basic rules concerning what is appropriate behaviour
and to be aware of how their behaviour affects others. Members of
staff clarify what the standards of behaviour should be and why,
in many different situations and at various times, so that from
the earliest age pupils understand what is expected of them and
so gradually learn to control their own behaviour. Pupils are rewarded
with praise, stickers, certificates and shields for good work and
behaviour.
Unacceptable
behaviour results in teacher disapproval, loss of playtimes, extra
work or loss of other privileges. Parents and carers are consulted
if staff are concerned about a particular child so that home and
school can work together to solve any difficulties.
