WELCOME TO THE FOREST
SCHOOL
The Forest School
is a special school for pupils aged between 3 and 16 who have a range of
learning difficulties. These include moderate and severe learning
difficulties, autistic spectrum difficulties, physical problems, language and communication difficulties.
This prospectus will
tell you more about the school, its aims and objectives, what we offer the
pupils and how we work to meet their special education needs. We set out to
help all our pupils to reach their full potential. We are committed to
enabling every pupil to experience success: both educationally and
socially.
We provide our pupils
with a caring but challenging education within a stimulating, orderly
learning environment.
We believe that
confidence in a school develops through knowing it and understanding how it
works. We aim to work in partnership with our pupils and their parents or
carers. We welcome parents and carers who wish to make informal visits to
find out about the school and its work. This prospectus is your first
introduction to the school. The information here is correct at the time it
was written and is updated annually.
