September 2007 Macmillan Coffee Morning

 

Our first Enterprise Event this academic year was the Macmillan Coffee Morning. Our Key Stage 4 groups baked scones, cakes and biscuits to sell in the café. Our Young Enterprise group organised a raffle and tombola and ‘Superallsorts’ sold their cards, gift bags and Jewellery. With the help of all the staff, especially Trudy Woodrow, Fiona Peck, Sandra Davy, Bev Roe and Jane Ingleby, we decorated the hall and set up our event.
The event was a resounding success. We even had a visit from the Mayor of Knaresborough. We raised an astounding £500 for Macmillan in just 2 hours. Well done to everyone who helped to make the event such a fantastic success.
