MEDICAL MATTERS
Parents/carers are asked to complete a
form giving details of any health matters and medication that the
school should be aware of, together with emergency contact numbers
should their child become ill during school time. If medication
is to be administered in school, parents should authorise this in
writing, giving detailed instructions as to the quantity and frequency
of the dosage.
Medicines should be clearly marked with
the pupil's name and handed to the class teacher who will lock them
in the medical cupboard. If pupils should carry an inhaler at all
times, parents are asked to inform the school in writing. Any prescribed
medicines must be sent to school in the container in which they
were dispensed.
