May 2008 Rockets Workshops run by NYBEP

 

On May 23rd, we invited NYBEP and Setpoint into school to run Science based workshops. All pupils at the Forest took part in at least 2 workshops. There were 4 workshops in all based upon Scientific principals such as Flight- rockets and aeroplanes, Balloon powered cars and spectacular materials including beads which changed colour in sunlight. Lemticular polypropylene was also a winner with its fabulous optical illusion effects. Our Young Enterprise group were so taken by these that they have made jewellery including these beads for sale in their Enterprise Company.
